Compulsory allowance for vessels over 500 GT's.
ENTRANCE
Request of the service by Agent (or by Captain if it proceeds)
1 hour before arrival, contact Palma Pilots on channel 14 VHF. Check of berthing authorization. Coordination of port services.
2 miles before the pilot station contact Pilots again.
Boarding in the agreed position, ensuring the transfer of the pilot.
DEPARTURE
Contact Palma Pilots on channel 14 VHF one hour before departure, arranging the boarding side. Coordination of port services.
Pilot confirms availability for the requested time.

INTERNAL MOVEMENTS

1 hour before the movement, contact Palma Pilots on channel 14 VHF
Note: Entry/leave manoeuvres will take preference over interior movements.
DEPTH
To request anchorage in port waters, you will first contact Palma Pilots on channel 14 VHF.
Once the data on the vessel has been collected, authorization is requested from the Port Authority.
If the vessel is authorized to anchor, the pilot on duty will indicate the anchorage position to the requesting vessel.
